A vibrant cosmetics pop-up experience celebrating TIRTIR's U.S. debut by transforming their signature cushion product into an immersive retail environment in SoHo.
Challenge
Creating TIRTIR's first physical retail presence in the U.S. required designing, fabricating, and installing a complete brand experience within an extremely condensed timeline—just one month for design and fabrication, followed by a mere four days for installation. The space needed to showcase the brand's signature cushion product in its full spectrum of 40 diverse shades while creating an engaging, shareable experience that would introduce the Korean cosmetics brand to the American market.
Opportunity
The project presented a unique chance to develop a design language directly inspired by the cushion product's distinctive geometry. By scaling and reimagining this form across different functional elements, we created a cohesive visual identity throughout the space. This approach enabled us to incorporate innovative technology—including augmented reality experiences and interactive displays—that would enhance product discovery while maintaining a strong, unified aesthetic that reinforced brand recognition.
Outcome
The completed pop-up successfully translates TIRTIR's brand identity into a physical environment through multifunctional cushion-inspired elements. Visitors engage with the space through oversized cushion-shaped product displays, a custom full-body mirror framed in the signature form, and a kinetic cushion sculpture that rotates 360 degrees. Technology integration further elevates the experience through a dedicated AR booth where customers virtually try branded decorations, complemented by a kinetic LED wall displaying animated emoji faces in all 40 product shades. The result is a highly Instagrammable, brand-centric environment that balances product education, technological innovation, and direct sales in a memorable retail experience.
